Obituary

Joyce Boisvine
Williston, VT

Joyce Boisvine, 75, of Williston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at The McClure-Miller Respite House.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She married Bill Boisvine in June of 1963 and raised four children.  Joyce was employed at the UVM Medical Center for over thirty years. More than anything, Joyce loved spending time with friends and family especially her four grandchildren to whom she was Nana or Nina.  She loved Sunday brunch with the family and summer vacations in Maine.  The Christmas holiday season was her favorite time.  Joyce’s over decorated tree and over the top spoiling of her grandchildren brought her so much joy every year.  She had a kind heart and a unique toughness not seen by many.  Not once did she feel sorry for herself nor did she want others to feel sorry for her.  She did not complain about being ill, instead would say “This is my new normal.”

She is predeceased by her parents Florence and Lawrence Ladabouche, her in-laws Elizabeth and William Boisvine, two sisters Theresa and Nancy, brothers Richard and Robert and her beloved granddaughter Madison Emily Huff.  She is survived by her sisters Mary and Carol and her brother George, sons William Boisvine, Timothy Boisvine and Judi Wilson, Nicole Huff and her husband Brent, Karrie Perry and her husband Tom and four grandchildren, Nick Thayer and Erica Rivera, Ethan Huff and Bailey and Reece Perry.  And most importantly her ex-husband, best friend and constant companion until the end, Bill Boisvine.  Dad, your love, care and respect for Mom cannot be put into words.  Thank you, we love you and so did Mom.

“The death of any loved parent is an incalculable lasting blow.  Because no one ever loves you like that again.” Brenda Ueland
