Robert "Bob" Flavien Domingue , died August 18, 2017.

Born August 18, 1925 in St. Evariste, La Guadaloupe, Quebec to Ernest and Aurore (Turcotte) Domingue, the eldest of 16 children. Raised on the family farm, Bob left home at 17 in the winters to pursue work in logging camps in Quebec and Maine. He moved to Berlin, N.H. where he worked as a truck driver for local logging operations. Bob served in the U.S. Army in West Germany from 1952 to 1954. Upon return he earned his G.E.D. and worked as a diesel mechanic for 18 years at Glenn Motors in Berlin. Bob married Doris Lizzie October 19, 1957. He moved to Essex, VT, in 1966 to work for IBM as an electro-mechanical technician for 25 years with part of his career spent in California. Upon retirement from IBM Bob drove a school bus for Mount Mansfield High School for 15 years. Bob was a Scouting leader and enjoyed helping family, friends, and neighbors with automotive and home repair over his lifetime. He earned his pilot's license, and enjoyed taking family and friends for rides. He is fondly remembered having re-built a wrecked Luscomb airplane in his garage and yard. He enjoyed spending time at the Shelburne and Franklin County airports, helping fix airplanes.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Domingue in 2015. He is survived by his son Raymond and Antoinette Domingue of Mullica Hill, NJ, and his daughter Jacqueline and William Estes of Groton, MA, as well as his grandchildren Andre and Lucy Domingue and Michaela and Connor Estes. He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and many friends including Sally and Harry Washburn, Ken Smullen and Dave and Debbie Cousino, and his Age Well senior meal friends.

A viewing will be held at the Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home in Essex Junction from 4-7 PM on Monday, August 21 with a funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church in Essex on Tuesday at 11 AM.
