James L. Marshall
Essex Junction, VT
James L. Marshall died peacefully, August 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family; his wife Jane and son Jim, who took care of him during his lengthy illness. He was born on April 27, 1949 in Burlington, VT the son of Cedric and Lorraine Marshall. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 31 years, Jane Fregeau as well as his three children; Terri (Paul) Boucher, Cindy (Jesse) Willis and James Marshall II; his grandchildren Brooke Sarault and David Boucher. Also surviving is a sister June (Michael) Abramowitz and their children Marshall and Athena; his mother-in-law Florence Fregeau, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Jim, a graduate of Champlain College, served in Vietnam and was also a member of the VT Air National Guard from 1983 until his retirement in 1995.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, watching NASCAR, sports, and taking trips. He was a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge #3 and Scottish York Rite.
James’ wife would like to thank their son, Jim, for being there to help care for his Dad. The family would like to thank Essex Town Fire Department, Essex Rescue and the Essex Police Department for giving them the support and compassion to get through our loss.
