Eric Morris LaRock, SR.
Eric M. LaRock, Sr. of Burlington, VT, passed away in the comfort of his family at the University of Vermont Medical Center in the early morning hours of November 13, 2019.
Eric was born in Richford, Vermont on May 11,1929. He married Mary Erno on November 28, 1948. They had a wonderful marriage and made many happy memories together until Mary’s passing in 1996. Eric was also preceded in death by their oldest son David in 1949 and grandson Nathaniel in 1978.
Eric is survived by his three children, Mary Ann (Lemoine) and her husband Jeff of Charlotte, North Carolina and their four children Erica Woodell and husband Erick of Dallas, Texas, Tiffany Dixon and husband Chuck of Mooresville, North Carolina, Caitlin McGinnis and her husband Benjamin and son Caleb and his wife Amanda of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is survived by his son Eric M. LaRock Jr. and his wife Elizabeth and their children Guthrie and wife Windy of Greer, South Carolina and daughters Elyssa from Rutherfordton, North Carolina and Emily of Lexington, Virginia.
He is also survived by son, Wayne LaRock and his wife Mary Ann of Hyde Park Vermont and their children Jeremy and wife Jill, Jennifer Wilson and husband Brad, Joseph and wife Amanda all of Lamoille County and Jarah Romasco and husband Paul of Milton, Vermont.
Eric M LaRock, Jr. has a daughter named Kristen Leigh Danielsen and husband Scott and great grandchildren Audrey and Sam.
He is also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren ranging from 1year to 20 years old.
He is also survived by his partner of 23 years Mrs. Joyce Erno.
After completing his education Eric proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force.
Eric’s hobby was intricate woodworking. He was the best!
Eric worked for the Borden Milk Company for 26 years until starting E&M Ice Cream Distributors which he ran until his retirement last year at the age of 89. Eric and Mary built their business by working hard and treating every customer as family.
Visiting hours will be 10-11am at Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home followed by a service Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant Street, Essex Junction, VT. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 455 North Avenue, Burlington, VT.
