Charlotte Lyons Lynch

Age: 87 • Essex Junction

Charlotte Lyons Lynch, 87, of Essex Junction died peacefully at home surrounded with the deep love of her family. Born in 1930 in Portland Maine, the daughter of John and Doris (Peabody) Lyons, Charlotte graduated from Portland High, attended Westbrook Jr College and graduated from Central Maine General Hospital School of Medical Technology in Lewiston, Maine as a Lab Technician. Charlotte married Joseph E. Lynch, the love of her life, in 1956. She then turned in her love for medicine for her love for children. Together, she and Joe had David Lynch (Eva) of Barre, Tricia Lynch Kennedy (Bruce) of Williston, and Janet Lynch, her angel in heaven. Charlotte was predeceased by Joe (2005) as well as her loving big brothers, Tom Lyons and Dr. Jack Lyons. After the children were grown, Charlotte became a member of Ambassador Greeting Cards Company for whom she worked for over 10 years. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren Tara Moore of North Carolina, Ashley Lynch of Barre, Grace and Brad Kennedy of Williston, and great-grandson Ryan Moore of North Carolina. Charlotte enjoyed spending her summers gardening and also loved knitting, solitaire, and all animals. She was a loving and kind mother, and it was her family who filled her heart. We will miss her smile, kind heart, and her peanut butter squares. Charlotte's family would like to extend their thanks to the VNA palliative/hospice care team for their help during this difficult time as well as to Pam Farnham, Pat Eno, and Mary Krebser for their years of love and support. Arrangements are by Corbin & Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction. There will not be visiting hours. A funeral mass and reception will be held Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 11 AM at Holy Family Church and Parish Hall in Essex Junction followed by burial at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by the VNA, 1110 Prim Rd, Colchester 05446 or the Alzheimers Association , 300 Cornerstone Dr, Suite 130, Williston VT 05495.
